The Buffalo Sabres have made three signings within the first hour of free agency opening up.
All the signings roll along the lines of what Jason Botterill was speaking to less than a week ago - not flashy moves but necessary moves.
Buffalo has reportedly signed defenseman John Gilmour, forward Jean-Sebastian Dea and goaltender Andrew Hammond.
Dea, 25, spent last season within the Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils organizations.
In 23 NHL games last season between both teams, Dea tallied six points (four goals, two assists).
