SABRES ACQUIRE DEFENSEMAN KULIKOV FROM PANTHERS

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has acquired defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and a second-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft (33rd overall) from the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenseman Mark Pysyk, a second-round pick in 2016 (38th overall) and a third-round pick in 2016 (89th overall).

Kulikov (6’1”, 204 lbs., 10/29/1990) completed his seventh NHL season with the Panthers in 2015-16, totaling 17 points (1+16) and a plus-8 rating in 74 games while logging 21:02 of ice time per game. In 460 career NHL regular-season games, Kulikov has recorded 138 points (28+110) and 300 penalty minutes, ranking second among Panthers defenseman in goals, assists and points during that span.
