Reports out of Sweden this morning have indicated that Buffalo Sabres prospect Marcus Davidsson and Vaxjo have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. He’ll now be on the search for a new team to play for.
Davidsson was a second-round pick of the Sabres back in 2017. After a strong D+1 season, he has regressed. He left Djurgardens two years ago looking for a bigger opportunity and hoped to find that with Vaxjo under Sam Hallam.
Unfortunately, that switch didn’t work out. On top of poor production levels in the 2019-20 season, he battled injuries.
