The Buffalo Sabres are ending their season with a weekend road trip in Florida, and if their first game last night is any indication, this season will be going out with a whimper rather than a bang.
The Sabres couldn’t put any of their 30 shots past James Reimer, and Jonathan Huberdeau scored two goals as Florida snapped a six-game losing streak to take down the Sabres 3-0.
After a scoreless first period, the Panthers opened things up on a shot that snuck through Robin Lehner’s short side which ended up being the game winner.
