Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: The 29-year old pending free agent Gustav Nyquist should draw some interest from a Stanley Cup contender. He’s a former 30-goal scorer and holds a no-trade clause. The Detroit Red Wings could ask him to waive it at some point.
“It’s a business and that’s part of the game,” Nyquist said. “I’m sure my name will pop up. It will be a little bit new situation for me because this is my last year of the contract. It’s different, but it’s nothing I’ve thought about.
