It was announced today the Buffalo Sabres prospect Marcus Davidsson agreed to a two-year deal with the Vaxjo Lakers of the SHL. The 2017 second-round pick will spend at least one more year in Sweden before coming over to North America. He has the ability to opt out of his deal after one season.

Davidsson spent the last few seasons with Djurgarden, which included a run to the SHL finals this season.
