The Buffalo Sabres had an overall solid week the past seven days, with a pair of wins over the Detroit Red Wings and the Anaheim Ducks.
Sure, they fell 2-0 to the New Jersey Devils in between those games, which was not a great offensive effort and overall a pretty boring game. But that night pales in comparison to the two games that bookended it.
The Sabres opened the week with a 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.
Ryan O’Reilly and Johan Larsson notched goals for Buffalo, while Detroit’s lone goal came from Brad Richards.
