The Buffalo Sabres dropped a 4-1 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the First Niagara Center tonight. After their extended break, it seemed as if the Sabres were simply a step behind. They stepped up in the second period, producing 21 shots, but the three-goal first period from the Bolts was too much for the Sabres.
With the loss, there are positives that I saw on the ice tonight that deserve recognition in tonight’s three stars. Starting with third, I’ve really liked the game of Rasmus Ristolainen.
He’s a poised young man with an absolute cannon from the point which makes him a dual threat in both the defensive and offensive zones.
