The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Linus Weissbach to a two-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Tuesday afternoon. The 22-year-old left wing recently wrapped up his fourth season at the University of Wisconsin, where he amassed 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points in just 31 games.
Overall in his collegiate career, Weissbach has put up 114 points (34-80) in 127 games. The Gothenburg, Sweden native was originally drafted by the Sabres in the 2017 NHL Draft, with the 192nd overall selection.
Prior to Wisconsin, Weissbach spent one season with the USHL’s Tri-City Storm and spent many years developing in the Frolunda HC program.
