The Sabres made a few moves Monday to be cap- and roster limit-compliant.

The Buffalo Sabres are finally ready for Thursday’s opening night. The team made a few roster moves on Monday to get their roster cap-compliant and under the roster limit size, sending Lawrence Pilut and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to the AHL’s Rochester Americans. Riley Sheahan will begin the season on injured reserve. Olivier Nadeau (injured) was also sent back to juniors.
