Buffalo Sabres defenseman Cody Franson is coming off his first season with the team, and it overall wasn’t a terrible one, but it wasn’t exactly great, either.
Franson played in just 59 games this past season with the Buffalo Sabres, thanks to a neck injury that sidelined him starting back in February.
In those 59 games, the 28-year-old Franson registered 17 points and 26 penalty minutes and was a minus-5.
When he did play, Franson averaged 16:50 on ice per game, often a second- or third-pairing guy.
He also registered 92 shots on goal.
