If you were expecting GM Tim Murray and the Buffalo Sabres to make a huge trade before the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, you might be sorely disappointed.
Likewise, if you were hoping that the Buffalo Sabres would strengthen the left side of their blueline by drafting someone like Jakob Chychrun or Mikhail Sergachev, both of whom were still available when Buffalo picked, again, you could be stewing in your juices right now.
However, if you were perfectly content with seeing the Buffalo Sabres hold onto the 8th overall pick and use it to add some much-needed scoring to the team, you have to be happy to hear that the Sabres chose to use the pick on Alexander Nylander.
