Buffalo Sabres defenseman Josh Gorges is considered day-to-day, although he did join the team for their two-game road trip.
It’s unclear exactly when Gorges was injured, but it seems likely that it happened in Friday night’s game against the Boston Bruins.
Gorges played 17:02 in that game, but did not play at all in the final 5:21. His partner, Rasmus Ristolainen, played two shifts without him.
Gorges then did not join the Buffalo Sabres for pre-game warmups on Saturday night as the team prepared to face the Washington Capitals.
