When the season started for the Buffalo Sabres, one of the biggest questions surrounding the team was if the fourth line was ready to produce offense.
The answer to that question so far is more complicated than it should be. So for starters, let’s talk about what the fourth line has done well.
The fourth line has done an excellent job keeping the puck in the offensive zone. They have played Ralph Krueger‘s offense the exact way he has intended and have kept the puck away from the other team. Johan Larsson and Kyle Okposo both have 6 shots on goal while Zemgus Girgensons has 5, those 17 combined shots on goal, is more than the fourth line combined for over any four game period last season.
