It’s stunning to think that the loss of Jack Eichel and Evander Kane could result in a team that looked as inept as the Sabres did against the Minnesota Wild Thursday evening – but here we are, looking at a 2016-17 season that is quickly going from bad to Please Just Stop Embarrassing Us.
You can bet your bottom dollar that thousands of Buffalo Sabres fans are clinging to the hope that this team will be able to climb its way out of the NHL cellar once Eichel is able to lace up, and more importantly skate on, a pair of skates .
