One more piece of the Buffalo Sabres’ puzzle is complete, as the team has officially hired Dan Bylsma as their new head coach on Thursday afternoon.
Initially seemingly just a rumor, the Bylsma talk began to heat up on Wednesday, when he visited Buffalo and met with Tim Murray, Ted Black and Terry Pegula. Talks continued and it seemed inevitable that – a falling-through notwithstanding – Bylsma would become the next head coach; and that he did.
As the news became official, Buffalo Sabres fans, as well as media members and fans from around the hockey world, took to Twitter to discuss their thoughts on the hiring.
