The day started with the Sabres assigning 3 players to Rochester: forward Alexander Nylander and defensemen Brendan Guhle and Brandon Hickey.
Alexander Nylander had an impressive offseason for the Sabres. September started with an impressive Prospects Challenge and Nylander impressed in the preseason. Nylander led the team with 4 assists and 5 points in 5 games. The next step for Alexander Nylander is to excel in the AHL. I can’t imagine a scenario in which we do not see Nylander in Buffalo before season’s end.
After the Nylander move, the Sabres are down to 12 healthy forwards.
