The Buffalo Sabres have announced their home-opener for the 2016-17 NHL season, ahead of the full schedule release expected on June 21.
The Buffalo Sabres will host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, October 13 in the first game of the season at First Niagara Center.
The upcoming NHL season will start a little later than usual due to the World Cup of Hockey 2016, being held at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto from September 17 through October 1.
