Buffalo Beauts draft pick and Clarkson Golden Knights forward Loren Gabel has been named the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Award winner in a ceremony held the morning of March 23. The award is presented to the player considered to be the best in NCAA women’s hockey.
Gabel is the one of only 22 players to have achieved the honor. She is the second Golden Knight; Jamie Lee Rattray won the prestigious award. Should Gable sign with the Beauts for the 2019-20 season, the young star will be the second Beaut to have attained the accomplishment, following in Team USA captain Meghan Duggan’s legendary footsteps.
