There were some groans amongst the fan base when Cody Eakin was signed to a two-year deal that carried a $2.25 million AAV, last offseason. Unfortunately for the Sabres, things went about as poorly as you could have imagined with Eakin.
He didn’t provide any secondary scoring with only three goals in 46 games and was not good for them defensively. After the coaching change, Eakin found himself as the odd man out under Don Granato.
