After two days of action at the 2021 IIHF Men’s World Championships, Russia leads the tournament’s Group A teams with a 2-0 record, while Germany remains perfect in Group B.
As a note, per Chris Peters, Germany hasn’t registered Sabres prospect JJ Peterka for the team yet, which is why he didn’t play in either of the team’s first two games. As Peters said, this is likely a smart team move for flexibility in their roster:
