The UB wrestling team utilized their momentum picked up from a 32-3 throttling of the Columbia Lions yesterday and closed out a perfect weekend with a dominant 43-4 win over the Sacred Heart Pioneers. The win was UB’s fifth straight dual meet win and was fueled by three first period pinfall victories from Bryan Lantry, Jason Estevez and Colt Cotten.
Sacred Heart has been decimated by injuries and had to replace a majority of their starting lineup against the Bulls. Kyle Akins accepted a forfeit at 125 pounds then the trio of Lantry, Estevez and Cotten all racked up first period pins to give UB a 24-0 lead heading into 157 pounds.
