Buffalo Bulls Women’s Basketball took home a season-opening win on Sunday night when they defeated Maryland Eastern Shore, 69-63, at the Hytche Athletic Center.
The win did not come in the smoothest of fashions. Buffalo handed over 19 turnovers in the game and could only scrounge up nine assists as their offense struggled to build momentum. Luckily for Buffalo, Maryland Eastern Shore also had some early-season rust to shake off and compiled a whopping 23 turnovers.
Cierra Dillard was unsurprisingly the star for Buffalo, leading all players with 23 points in a full 40 minutes played. She did a fantastic job at drawing fouls and getting to the line for easy points.
