UB football player Solomon Jackson is in critical condition at Buffalo General Medical Center following a medical emergency during the Bulls’ conditioning session Monday morning, according to medical personnel at the hospital.
Jackson’s family declined comment.
UB spokesperson John Della Contrada released the following statement to The Spectrum Monday evening.
“Solomon Jackson, a member of UB’s football team, was transported to the hospital this morning after a medical emergency at a team conditioning session. The university is in touch with Solomon’s family and hospital medical staff,” Della Contrada said.
Della Contrada said because of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the university cannot release any private health information regarding Jackson at this time.
