STATE COLLEGE, PA – The University at Buffalo Track and Field team competed one final time before next week's MAC Championships as a select group of athletes took part at the Jim Thorpe Open at Penn State.
Three women won their respective events on Friday as junior Corinne Birchard won the 800 Meter run in a time of 2:14.17, while sophomore Laura Libruk took the 3000 Meter Steeplechase race by running 11:37.42. Sophomore McKenzie Kuehlewind won the hammer throw at 47.96m (157-04).
Also competing on the women's side were senior Taylor Woods, who finished second in the discus throw with a season-best time of 47.
