BUFFALO, NY - Freshman defender Tess Ford was named Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon after her two-goal weekend in a pair of UB victories. This marks the second straight week the Bulls saw a freshman earn the weekly recognition.
Ford has played a major role in the Bulls current five-game winning streak and she had her best weekend of the season this past weekend as UB handed Canisius and St. Francis (PA) a pair of losses. The Williamsville, NY native made a huge impact on Friday night on set pieces for the Bulls as she netted her first career goal in the 26th minute to give UB the 1-0 lead over Canisius.
