EVANSTON, IL – For the first time in his career, University at Buffalo wrestler Brett Perry earned a spot on the podium at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships on Sunday. The Bulls' 197-pounder finished eight at the prestigious tournament hosted by Northwestern.
After going 4-1 on Saturday, Perry faced off against Illinois' Andre Lee in his first match on Sunday. Perry took a 3-1 decision for his fifth straight win of the tournament.
Perry dropped his next match to Cal Poly's Thomas Lane by an 11-6 decision to earn a spot in the seventh place match.
