Just when some might be wondering what happened to Tom Murphy the UB Alum got back to form for Alburquerque.
Over the last five games in June, Murphy was just two for 21 with 11 strikeouts. It was such a bad stretch that his batting average on the year was flirting with the Mendoza line. It found it's low point on June 30th when a zero for four night brought him all the way down to .208.
The next day began July and Murphy went about making the month it his own. In five July games, Murphy is 14 for 19 with just two strikeouts against four home runs and nine RBI's.
