ATLANTA, GA - Megan Burns concluded her 2015-16 season at the NCAA Championships on Saturday morning. Two days after finishing 22nd in the 50 freestyle, Burns placed 29th in the 100 freestyle on Saturday.
She swam the event in 48.97, which is slightly higher than her season-best and second-fastest time in school history of 48.65, to finish 29th overall. This event was very competitive and close throughout the nine preliminary heats this morning. The time difference between 29th and a spot in the finals (8th place) was less than a second.
With Burns completing her two events at the NCAA Championships, the Rochester, NY native finishes her 2015-16 collegiate season.
