Overall a really putrid week for the MAC, the one bright shining moment may have been Western Michigan going into Pitt and grabbing a win.
Some close games to give teams hope, like Buffalo.
Some blowout that teach us nothing, like NIU.
And an 0-3 Ohio team for time in more than a decade.
1 | Toledo | 1 | 0 | Worst showing of the year for the Rockets, but nobody below them made a case to take the number one spot. |
2 | Western MIchigan | 4 | 2 | Quality win over an ACC program, this is the conference highlight of the week despite Pitt being kind of a "meh" program right now |
3 | Kent State | 2 | -1 | It looked like it was going to be another week where Kent made a high ranked opponent work for the win, but aside from Keshunn Abram's big drive the game was a dud |
5 | Miami | 6 | 1 | Solid FCS win, but despite the score 42-7, Miami did not offensively dominate like they should have |
6 | Eastern Michigan | 7 | 1 | Beating UMass on the road and getting themselves to 2-1 means that EMU may be in the Bowl hung again, what Chris Creighton has done there is amazing |
7 | Ball State | 3 | -4 | Ok, there should be some real questions in Muncie right now |
8 | Buffalo | 9 | 1 | Buffalo played a solid game, one or two small mental lapses were the difference but overall the Bulls should be happy with the effort they put in against a very good Coastal team |
9 | Central Michigan | 8 | -1 | Never in the game against LSU, this is probably not saying anything about how they do in the MAC, but given how Toledo and Western are looking it could be very uphill |
10 | Bowling Green | 11 | 1 | Things are starting to look like football again at Bowling Green |
11 | Ohio | 10 | -1 | Look out below. |
