Facing the conference's top seed in the MAC final for the second consecutive year, the UB Men's Basketball team came into today looking to make not only Buffalo history, but conference history, as no Men's program had repeated as MAC champions since Kent State in 2002.
Once again, the Bulls faced not only the MAC's regular season champion, but also the Coach of the Year and a team that had beaten them twice in regular-season play in East Division rivals Akron. In the end, a dagger three-pointer with two seconds left from junior Blake Hamilton iced the game 64-61 to send UB back to the NCAA Tournament.
