LAS VEGAS, NV – The University at Buffalo softball team (1-7, 0-0 MAC) fell in the final day of the Marucci Desert Classic hosted by UNLV to Long Beach State on Sunday afternoon by the score of 23-1 in five innings. With the loss, the Bulls fall to 1-7 on the season while Long Beach State improves to 8-1 overall.
Long Beach State never let the Bulls get in the game on Sunday as they scored at least two runs in all five innings en route to their 22 run defeat.
The Beach opened up the game scoring three runs in the top of the first inning before exploding for their biggest inning of the game in the second as they scored seven runs to take the commanding 10-0 lead over the Bulls.
