Leipold Signs Contract Extension

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo and head football coach Lance Leipold have agreed to a one-year contract extension, Director of Athletics Allen Greene announced on Wednesday. The extension will keep the second-year head coach in Buffalo through the 2020 season.

Leipold led the Bulls to a 5-7 mark in 2015, becoming the first UB head coach to win five games in his debut season since Bob Deming went 6-3 in 1969. Included in the Bulls five wins was a victory at Florida Atlantic - Buffalo's first non-conference road win since the 2009 season. In addition, the Bulls won three road games in 2015 – tying the record for the most in UB's FBS era (since 1999).
