ST. BONAVENTURE, NY - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team nearly overcame a late 11-point deficit on Saturday afternoon, but the Bulls ultimately fell at Big 4 rival St. Bonaventure, 90-84. The Bulls were paced by sophomore Nick Perkins, who scored a career-high 24 points.
The Bonnies opened the contest on an 11-4 run before a 13-5 run from the Bulls gave UB its only lead of the night as a Raheem Johnson layup put Buffalo ahead, 17-16 with 9:30 remaining in the first half. However, St. Bonaventure then went on a 20-6 run, taking its largest lead of the half at 36-23.
