BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo All-American Khalil Mack was named to the NFL Pro Bowl on Tuesday. Now a defensive end for the Oakland Raiders, Mack is the second former UB player to earn a spot on the Pro Bowl roster, joining former New York Jet Gerry Philbin who was selected in 1968 and 1969.
After a solid rookie campaign in 2014, Mack is in the midst of a breakout season. He leads the NFL in sacks with 15. He also has 62 tackles and two forced fumbles. He was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week on December 18 after having an astounding five sacks against the Denver Broncos.
