Earlier this morning the preseason watch list for the John Mackey Award was released and Buffalo tight end Mason Schreck was among the players announced.
The Mackey Award, named after John Mackey, is presented annually to college football's most outstanding tight end. The award is given to the player who demonstrates the same on the field play, sportsmanship, as well as academic achievement and, community values of Mackey.
Behind Matt Weiser, who is now with the San Diego Chargers, Schreck had his best season last year. He put up 22 receptions for 216 yards which bumped his career totals to 49 catches for 469 yards and two touchdowns.
