DALLAS – The preseason honors continue for University at Buffalo sophomore running back Jaret Patterson as he was named to the watch list for the Doak Walker Award on Wednesday, given annually to the nation's top college running back. He was previously named to the Maxwell Award preseason watch list.
Patterson, one of six Mid-American Conference running backs on the 71-man list, is coming off a break-out campaign in his first season with the Bulls. The Maryland-native rushed for 1,013 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year – the most ever by a freshman in school history.
