BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo quarterback Tyree Jackson was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, the league announced. It marks the third time this season the junior signal-caller has won the award.
Jackson accounted for six touchdowns in Buffalo's 51-42 win over Miami (OH) last Tuesday night. He threw for three touchdowns and ran for a career-best three more. Jackson finished 20-of-34 for a season-high 358 yards and three touchdowns. He had touchdown passes of 75, 20 and 10 yards. With his three touchdown runs, he became the first quarterback in the Bulls' FBS era (since 1999) to score three rushing touchdowns in a game.
