BUFFALO, NY - With the NFL season kicking off this weekend, five former University at Buffalo football players find themselves on NFL rosters. Khalil Mack is in Oakland, Branden Oliver is with the Chargers and Steven Means is in Philadelphia. In addition, Kristjan Sokoli is on the practice squad with the Saints and Mason Schreck is on the injured reserve list for the Bengals.
Mack, a former All-American linebacker for the Bulls, is making the Raiders glad they picked him fifth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. Mack has developed into one of the best players in the NFL and was named the 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
