KENT, OH - The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York wrestling team battle hard, but lost to 17th-ranked Kent State, 28-3, at the M.A.C. Center on Sunday afternoon. The final score was deceiving as most of the matches Kent State won were very close decisions.
"We wrestled hard! We are young and making mistakes that are costing us," head coach John Stutzman said. "The effort is there. We need to continue to get better."
Brandon Lappi earned the Bulls lone points with a 4-0 decision over Chance Driscoll at 141 lbs. The redshirt-freshman improved his dual record to 3-1 on the season.
