BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo senior Ethan Nittolo has been named the MAC Singles Player of the Week, the Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday. He is the third different Buffalo player to earn singles player of the week honors, joining Vilhelm Fridell and Hao Sheng Koay, who won it last week.
Nittolo played at No. 1 and No. 2 singles winning his two matches this past. On Friday at second singles, Nittolo defeated Cleveland State's Matthew Terry, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-1 and on Saturday he moved up to first singles in Buffalo's win over Xavier as Nittolo faced Brett Winters and he scored a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win.
