When he looks back at his freshman year, Ralph Cuddemi sees opportunity.
He didn’t score his first goal for Canisius College until second semester and finished with just four on the season.
That wasn’t exactly the personal start Cuddemi hoped for. But the Golden Griffins won Atlantic Hockey, went to the NCAA Tournament and the native of Concord, Ont., was motivated to keep building his game.
Four years later, he’s a 50-goal scorer with 100 career points and captain of a Griffs team in contention for a fourth-straight trip to the Atlantic Hockey Final Four.
“My first year obviously wasn’t the greatest,” Cuddemi said.
