BUFFALO, NY – Playing in front of the largest Alumni Arena crowd in almost 14 years, the University at Buffalo men's basketball team came away with a 92-86 win over Western Michigan to improve to 9-1 in Mid-American Conference play. The announced attendance of 6,670 was the most since March 8, 2004 and it set a record for the largest attendance in the current configuration of Alumni Arena, which was redone prior to the 2005-06 season.
UB improves to 17-6 overall, matching its win total from all of last season.
Buffalo shot 58.6% from the floor on the evening as five players score in double figures for the Bulls as they defeated the preseason MAC West favorites for the second time in two weeks.
