Through their first three MAC games the Buffalo Bulls won by an average of more than 23 points, going in against the 0-3 Western Michigan Broncos UB was a heavy favorite.
But the Broncos, one of the youngest teams in the MAC, built up an early 11 point lead and then, after the Bulls took the lead, managed to counter every UB run right up to the end of the game.
The result was an 88-79 win for Buffalo, to lift the #16 Bulls to 16-1 on the season and 4-0 in conference.
WMU showed that despite their youth, and a glut of injuries, they can play with anyone in the conference.
