WILLIAMSVILLE, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team dominated its first round matchup at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament as the sixth-seeded Bulls defeated #3 Western Michigan, 5-0, in the quarterfinals.
The Bulls began the afternoon with an impressive performance in doubles, dropping just three games combined in wins at one and three. Buffalo got on the board with a 6-1 win at third doubles courtesy of junior Emel Abibula and freshman Hsin-Yuan Shih. UB then clinched the point with a 6-2 win at one from senior Chantal Martinez Blanco and freshman Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou.
