MADISON, WI – The University at Buffalo wrestling team opened the 2018-19 campaign at 21st-ranked Wisconsin on Thursday night and had a strong showing before falling to the Badgers, 25-12.
"It was a great night of wrestling," head coach John Stutzman said. "We are not far off. We competed hard. It's just the beginning and we will get better."
After Wisconsin won by fall in the opening match to take a 6-0 lead, the Bulls battled back to tie the dual at 6-6 with consecutive wins by Derek Spann at 133 and Bryan Lantry at 141.
