ATHENS, OH – The University at Buffalo wrestling team dropped its Mid-American Conference opener to Ohio, 25-9, at the Convocation Center on Sunday afternoon. The Bulls fell behind early and just couldn't recover.
Ohio won the first three matches of the day to jump out to a 10-0 lead. Colt Cotten got the Bulls on the board at 149 with a 7-5 decision over Kade Kowalski. It was Cotten's first dual win of the year after losing three tough bouts to start the season.
Brett Perry earned an 11-9 decision over Hunter Yeargan at 184 for his second dual win of the year.
