WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team played strong doubles on Saturday afternoon, but struggled in singles in a 6-1 loss to West Virginia at Miller Tennis Center. The loss drops UB to 6-2 on the year.
Buffalo swept through doubles action beginning at first doubles where senior Chantal Martinez Blanco and freshman Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou won easily, 6-2. UB won at second and third doubles by identical 6-4 scores. Freshman Pia Schwarz and senior Arianna Paules Aldrey took the victory at second doubles and freshman Hsin-Yuan Shih and junior Emel Abibula won a third doubles.
