EVANSTON, IL – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York wrestling team completed the first day of action at the 53rd annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships on Tuesday at Northwestern's Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Bulls currently sit in 23rd place with 17.5 points.
"We competed well today," head coach John Stutzman said. "As a team, you can see improvement. The best thing about this tournament, you can see where you're good and what can improve you."
Tyler Rill was the Bulls most successful wrestler. The 165 pounder beat #5 Cooper Moore of Northern Iowa by injury default in the second round before losing a close 6-5 decision to Iowa's Patrick Rhoads.
