UNIVERSITY, PARK, PA – The University at Buffalo track & field team closed the regular season at the Jim Thorpe Open hosted by Penn State on Friday. The meet served as a tune-up for next week's Mid-American Conference Championships which UB will host.
"This was a nice, low-key meet hosted by Penn State and served as a nice tune-up for the MAC Championships," head coach Vicki Mitchell said. "It was quick, windy and warm. The wind definitely made the full-lap track events tough – times were slow. For the sprints, it was ideal."
Several men came away with personal or season-best marks.
